The Tomorrow River runs from Portage County to Waupaca County. When the river hits the Waupaca County line, its name changes to the Waupaca River. I parked my car by a bridge across the river on Morgan Road in Portage County. Thus, I fished on the Tomorrow River today. The tomorrow flows through the woods. The bottom of the water was sandy. It's much better than muddy for wading in the water. When I fish alone on a river surrounded by woods, I feel something like a mystery of Nature. I saw some white small mayflies. I caught small brown on a mayfly imitation, blue-winged olive. I've never used wet flies before. Soft-hackled wet flies are simple and easy to tie. I tied some Partridge & Green wet flies. I didn't know how to use it, how to cast it, nor how to present it to trout before but it worked. I caught 10-inch and 11.5 inch browns on the wet fly. They were small but I could learn something new today. QED
