I usually fish the open bank along County-F. Today, the regular season opening day, I saw many cars parked along US-14 but no one parked along County-F.
The water was low and clear. I saw some fish rising and some caddises hatching. I tied on a #16 elk hair caddis and it worked well today.
Brown trout seldom jump. But they all jumped today. I was surprised when I hooked the first brown because he jumped very high.
I thought he must be rainbow trout until I landed it. It was a good dry fly fishing day.
