I went to the Castle Rock Creek for my first inland trout fishing of this year.
The Castle Rock is located about 8 miles northeast of Fennimore on County Highway Q.
The water was very clear and I could see many trout in the water. I saw 10 fly fishermen around the area I fished.
It was sunny day and not so cold. I could have a pleasant fishing time there. But my fishing was slow.
Since the water was very clear, I could see trout chased my fly in the water many times but they didn't bite it.
Finally, I hooked brown trout, I thought he bit my fly and I could catch my first inland trout of the year, but I hooked his pectoral fin...
