Bois Brule is known as "River of Presidents" because presidents Grant, Hoover, Coolidge, Cleaveland and Eisenhowe visited the Brule.
It's the first time to fish the River of Presidents. 300 miles north of Madison doesn't allow me a day trip fishing. So I stayed in the city of Superior. It's still cold there.
I fished between Highway FF and Highway B in expectation of native brook and wild brown trout but I caught only rainbow.
Nymphs, wet flies, and streamers worked well to catch them. Mosquites terribly attacked me. I have to bring DEET next time.
