Nymphing is more difficult for me than dry-fly fishing. But I know nymphs catch bigger trout than dry flies do in Wisconsin. Kneeling down on the river side to make my profile low, I casted a caddis pupa pattern with split shot. It worked here today. I got the first strike but I missed it as usual. And the second one, I couldn't set the hook properly. The third one, I set the hook completely. It was 15 inches long brown trout. 15-inch trout is not lunker-size in Wisconsin but I was happy because my nymph could catch nice trout. QED
